Help us beat off international bidders at auction, to bring Cygan, the world famous 1950′s Robot to Leeds as our first Robot in Residence & VIP guest at the launch of March of the Robots (Launching Oct’ 2013)
Cygan is going under the hammer at Christie’s ’Out of The Ordinary’ Auction in London on 5th September 2013, with a guide price of £8-12k.
We need you to help us raise £15k in 15 days* so that we stand a chance of bringing Cygan to his new home in Leeds to launch our celebration of all things robot related ‘March of the Robots’ in October.
Wouldn’t it be brilliant to have Cygan welcoming visitors & residents alike to Leeds? As our first Robot in Residence, we’d love to see how he stimulates us to create our own robots and acts as an ambassador, inviting robots from around the world to Leeds.
Get involved by pledging to bring Cygan to Leeds on our Space Hive Site. We think it’s entirely possible to raise £15,000 in 15 days if we all pool our resources and spread the word. Pledge from as little as a 2 British pounds and spread the word that’s all we ask for! #CyganToLeeds
